Shamsid-Deen originally came to Auburn as a member of the Tigers 2013 recruiting class, ranked as a three-star point guard out of Decatur High School in Georgia.
Once on the Plains, Shamsid-Deen would go on to make an immediate impact with the Tigers as a freshman, starting in all 30 games during the 2013-14 season.
