As an SEC coordinator, it might be smart to rent a house rather than buy one.
Between this offseason and the last, there have been a total of 27 new coordinators in the SEC. In some cases, the previous coordinator will take a head-coaching job like Mike Bobo did last year or Kirby Smart did this year. Bobo left Georgia to become the head coach at Colorado State, while Smart, the longtime defensive coordinator at Alabama, is now the head coach at Georgia.
In other cases, these coaches make more of a lateral move. Kevin Steele left LSU for the same position at Auburn, while Manny Diaz followed suit, leaving Mississippi State for the same job at Miami.
