They go on the road against top-10 teams Georgia and Texas A&M and dominate, owning the line of scrimmage, marching downfield at will and stealing turnovers like the football was never the other team’s to begin with. You want to pencil that Alabama in for the College Football Playoff.
But the next minute they’re a shell of themselves. They get too comfortable at home, they relax and the penalties come in droves, the play calling gets too cute and suddenly they’re behind the eight ball.
