TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- On paper, No. 12 Alabama did exactly what it needed to do by beating Louisiana-Monroe, 34-0, on Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The defense was dominant with 12 tackles for loss and the kicking game finally came along with Adam Griffith making field goals from 40 and 35 yards.
