Heading into the 2015 season, two high-profile football programs prepared to break in brand-new coaches. Florida got Jim McElwain to trade in the snowy weather of Colorado State for sunshine, while Michigan nabbed the biggest fish of all in former San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Two big programs, two totally different coaches. In Harbaugh, you had a brash, big-name savior with mounds of previous success. McElwain had success as Alabama's offensive coordinator (winning two national championships), but this was a major program hiring a coach away from Colorado State.
With all due respect, you had the great white shark and the guppy.
