A year later, Laquon Treadwell is better now than before the injury

It wasn’t hard for Kevin Sumlin to see it.

Maybe it was the near touchdown when it looked like Laquon Treadwell kept his balance and broke away from two tacklers on his way to the end zone. If only his right knee would have stayed up. Or maybe it was in the second half when Treadwell got behind the defense and caught a 58-yard touchdown.

Either way, after Saturday’s game, the Texas A&M coach knew that Treadwell was a better player this season than he was a year ago. He saw it firsthand.

"I told him that after the game," Sumlin said.
