Although he’s usually deployed as a left back, Joevin Jones has shown quite a bit of offensive flair in his limited opportunities farther up the field with the Seattle Sounders. But his display in Trinidad & Tabago’s World Cup qualifier against Guatemala was quite unlike anything we’d seen before. It was Jones’ brace — including an absolute golazo — that clinched the Soca Warriors’ spot in the Hex, CONCACAF’s final round of World Cup qualifying.
The first goal came in first-half stoppage time, allowing T&T to go into halftime tied.
Jones’ second, though, was his real masterpiece.
