After an early exit in the 2016 Olympics, the U.S. Women’s National Team is looking to rebuild — and a number of fresh faces should make their debut tonight when the U.S. face Switzerland in an international friendly. The match kicks off at 6:00 p.m. PT on ESPN2.
USWNT Coach Jill Ellis has brought in a 24-player roster to training camp that features 11 uncapped players — including Seattle Reign FC’s Merritt Mathias — and Ellis will choose 18 players to dress for the match.
According to ESPN writer Graham Hays, Chicago Red Stars left back Casey Short has impressed Ellis, and she had “high praise for Stanford junior Andi Sullivan.
