On Thursday, November 9, Seattle Reign FC’s Megan Rapinoe and the U.S. Women’s National Team travels up the I-5 corridor for a match against their CONCACAF rivals, Canada. The match is the first of two against Canada and will air on ESPN2.
Canada is currently ranked fifth in the world by FIFA and most recently won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games.
The U.S. has only lost to Canada on three occasions (1986, 2000 and 2001), but Canada has come very close to a victory in recent years. Fans may remember the epic 4-3 match during the 2012 Olympics, when an Alex Morgan header in the waning seconds of extra time sealed a U.
