On Sunday, the United States Soccer Federation announced that the San Jose Earthquakes' Avaya Stadium will host the U.S. men’s national team's next World Cup Qualifier against Honduras on Friday, March 24. It's the first time Avaya Stadium will host the national team, and the match is essentially a must-win. The United States currently sit in last place in the standings in the CONCACAF Hexagonal after losses to Costa Rica and Mexico.
"This game is very important, and we've chosen an outstanding venue in Avaya Stadium," head coach Bruce Arena said in a USSF statement.
