The Jurgen Klinsmann era in United States soccer is over.
U.S. Soccer announced on Tuesday that it has relieved Klinsmann of his managerial duties after more than five years at the helm of the men’s national team.
The decision comes on the heels of the U.S.’ consecutive losses to start the Hexagonal round of CONCACAF 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying. The U.S. fell 1-0 to Mexico in Columbus, Ohio, before getting run off the field in a 4-0 loss to Costa Rica in Santiago.
