Behind goals from Ray Serrano and Marlon Vargas, the Sounders U17’s beat the Montreal Impact 2-1 on Thursday to advance to the GA Cup finals in the Premier Division.
The Sounders got out to a blazing start, opening the scoring in the 4th minute. That’s when Connor Drought cut in on the wing and found Azriel Gonzalez, who sliced through a couple more defenders and squeezed off a shot in traffic. Although the shot was saved, the rebound came out to Serrano, who finished it easily.
A straight red left Montreal at a disadvantage, but they were still able to pull one back on a counter.
