As expected, Gustav Svensson (Sweden) and Xavier Arreaga (Ecuador) have joined Raúl Ruidíaz on international duty. Ruidíaz’s inclusion in Peru’s roster was announced last week.
Arreaga and Svensson are expected to miss the Seattle Sounders’ first playoff game against Los Angeles FC on Nov. 24 while they quarantine. Sounders GM Garth Lagerwey said he expected Ruidíaz to be available, as MLS considers him a “recovered person” after previously contracting Covid-19.
All three players previously missed four games in October while on international duty and then serving a mandatory quarantine.
