Today’s third and fourth rounds of the MLS SuperDraft are a bit less interesting than the early rounds. The 117 players remaining for selection with today’s 44 picks aren’t in Generation Adidas, nor were most on Hermann watchlists (though Sounders HGP eligible Seattle U senior Kyle Bjornethun was). This is the draft for college soccer nerds.
It is done via conference call, which means picks will be announced via Twitter by either the team, the league, or both.
Seattle took a centerback and defensive midfielder in the first two rounds. With today’s 56, 66 and 88th pick they are likely looking for players to insert into S2.
