New season, new uniform, new star.
The Sounders revealed their look for the 2020 MLS season Wednesday — dubbed “Forever Green” and featuring a large, gold star denoting the team’s status as defending MLS Cup champion that sits above the silver star for the 2016 MLS Cup title.
The uniform builds off the team’s sponsorship deal with Seattle-based online retailer Zulily signed before last season, and this year’s jersey again sports the Zulily mark across the chest.
Adidas, which makes all MLS teams’ uniforms, plastered its three stripes on the shoulder prominently, which is said to honor MLS’ 25th season with a retro ’90s look.
