The dust has settled in the NWSL Expansion Draft. The NWSL’s newest team, Racing Louisville FC, selected defender Julia Ashley and goalkeeper Michelle Betos from OL Reign on Thursday evening.
Shortly after the expansion draft, OL Reign CEO Bill Predmore talked with us about the results of the expansion draft and what it means for the team’s off-season plans as they prepare for the 2021 season.
“I think expansion drafts are really emotionally taxing, primarily on the players, it’s something they’ve been thinking about a long time. In most cases, when players know they’re going to happen — in this case for months — everybody is anxious.
