The positive thing is that the Tacoma Defiance get to play Las Vegas Lights FC before the scorch of the Mojave Desert summer has truly arrived. The negatives are that, well, Tacoma has only lost on the road this season and they will be missing a not-insignificant part of their 19-man roster to the GA Cup, which kicked off earlier today. All players born on or after January 1, 2002 are eligible to participate. The Sounders FO has generally prioritized youth tournaments, so they will likely send most — if not all — of Danny Robles, Danny Leyva, Josh Atencio, Ray Serrano and Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez to compete in the Champions Division in Frisco.
