Sounders wrap up 2017 SuperDraft by picking Seattle U defender

The 3rd and 4th rounds of the MLS SuperDraft, done over conference call rather than the live ceremony and broadcast of the first two rounds, tends to be a place for clubs to find players for the future without risking too much. The Sounders had three picks between the two rounds on Tuesday, and they used all three.

The Sounders chose Georgetown midfielder Bakie Goodman with pick 56, Wright State defender Jake Stovall with pick 66, and Seattle University defender Kyle Bjornethun with their last pick and 88th overall. Bjornethun is a former Sounders academy player who played with current Sounders forward Jordan Morris.
