Even as the 2016 season marches on, Seattle Sounders FC are making plans to begin their 2017 campaign. They will once again head down to Tucson for a portion of their 2017 preseason to take part in the Desert Friendlies as one of seven MLS clubs participating, along with Portland Timbers, Sporting Kansas City, San Jose Earthquakes, New England Revolution, Real Salt Lake, and a final team to be announced later.
Similar to last year, Seattle will play Portland in another Cascadia Cup clash friendly sometime between January 27th and February 7th, though the final date has not yet been determined.
