The Sounders will honor longtime defender Zach Scott prior to his final regular-season home match on Sunday afternoon against Real Salt Lake — and by giving away bobbleheads that vaguely resemble the grizzled veteran to the first 20,000 fans that arrive at CenturyLink Field.
Scott, who has made 349 career appearances for the Sounders dating back to the USL days, announced last month his intention to retire at the conclusion of his 15th professional season. The club is encouraging fans to arrive early ahead of the 1 p.m. PST kickoff time for a pregame ceremony celebrating his years of service.
