There were two new players added to the Seattle Sounders’ salary rolls since the early-season release, and there weren’t too many big surprises. As was reported shortly after he signed, Nicolas Lodeiro is making about $1.7 million a year. That Alvaro Fernandez is making close to $300,000 was a bit more of a surprise, but also very much in line with what guys like Andreas Ivanschitz and Erik Friberg are making.
The only other notable change to this list was Herculez Gomez, but that he re-signed at midseason for what is effectively the veteran minimum was also not entirely unexpected.
