TUKWILA, Wash. – After a brief two-game homestand, the Seattle Sounders are about to embark on a marathon stretch.
Starting with Saturday’s road matchup against the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park, Seattle will play six matches in a 23-day period, three of which will come on the road. It’s the type of congested, travel-heavy part of the schedule that makes MLS a difficult league. But it’s also one the Sounders say they’re champing at the bit to take on as they look to right the ship following their 1-0 loss to Toronto FC at CenturyLink Field on Saturday.
