TUKWILA, Wash. — Seattle Sounders center back Chad Marshall gave fans quite the scare when he had to be substituted in the first half of their last MLS match on July 4 in Colorado, but it looks like he’ll be available for selection against D.C. United. A handful of other Sounders weren’t so lucky, but head coach Brian Schmetzer should have plenty of players to choose from at CenturyLink on Wednesday.
Marshall’s injury was apparently not as bad as feared, as it was initially believed he would be out for at least a month.
