Sounders forward Jordan Morris slots in at No. 3 in ranking of top young MLS players

Sounders forward Jordan Morris was voted as the No. 3 young player in Major League Soccer as part of the league’s annual “24 under 24” series as voted on by a panel of media members and longtime MLS observers.

Morris, at 21 years old a leading candidate for the league’s Rookie of the Year award, has scored 10 goals in 28 appearances for the Sounders this season, most of any first-year player. The Mercer Island native and Stanford product has tallied five game-winning goals, tied for the overall MLS lead.

He finished behind only New York City FC midfielder Jack Harrison — two years his junior and probably the most significant challenger for ROY honors — and Orlando City forward Cyle Larin, who finished No.
