SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC today announced that it has loaned midfielder Shandon Hopeau to USL Championship side San Antonio FC for the 2021 campaign. Hopeau, a Sounders FC Academy and Tacoma Defiance product, has 80 career appearances for Tacoma and eight for Sounders FC.
“Shandon is a talented young player who has been in our development system for a number of years now,” said Sounders FC General Manager & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey. “Loaning him to San Antonio allows him better opportunity for meaningful playing time in a different environment, and we look forward to seeing how he performs this season.
