Sounders FC forward Jordan Morris undergoes successful surgery

Sounders FC today announced that forward Jordan Morris has undergone successful right knee surgery. The procedure was performed by Dr. Bert Mandelbaum on Wednesday, March 14 in Santa Monica, California. Morris is set to begin rehabilitation immediately following the procedure.

Morris, a 23-year-old Homegrown Player from Mercer Island, was voted 2016 MLS Rookie of the Year after scoring 12 goals in his first pro season. The Stanford product currently has 15 goals and five assists in 57 career MLS regular-season appearances, in addition to 25 caps and five career goals for the U.S. Men’s National Team. Morris suffered a right ACL tear in the club’s Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League matchup at Santa Tecla FC on February 22.
