Sounders FC 2 snaps two-match winning streak in 2-0 defeat to Swope Park Rangers at Starfire Stadium

Seattle Sounders FC 2 (3-8-4, 13 points) fell by a score of 2-0 to Swope Park Rangers (5-7-2, 17 points) on Sunday evening at Starfire Stadium. The loss ends S2's two-match winning streak after earning victories against rival sides Whitecaps FC 2 and Portland Timbers 2 earlier this month. Next up, S2 visits Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, July 2 (8:00 p.m. PT / Live-streamed on SoundersFC.com) for the third matchup between the two sides this season. Sacramento won the previous meetings 1-0 and 2-0.

Both teams were held scoreless in the first half, with Seattle forward Andy Craven sailing a shot attempt high in the 11th minute for the only dangerous chance of the first 45 minutes.
