Sounders defender Roman Torres activated from disabled list, expected to return to action at Houston

Sounders defender Roman Torres has been activated from the disabled list, added to the roster effective immediately and is expected to return to game action during Wednesday night’s match at the Houston Dynamo.

Torres travelled with the team to Houston, and in the words of interim coach Brian Schmetzer: “I will find minutes for him in the game.”

The 30-year-old center back tore his left ACL in a match against the San Jose Earthquakes last September, beginning a long rehabilitation that has lasted almost a year. Torres played in just four matches prior to the injury after joining the Sounders midseason from Colombian side Millonarios.
