Seattle Sounders defender Jimmy Ockford is being recalled from loan and S2 players Zach Mathers and Michael Nelson have been called up on short-term agreements for Tuesday night’s international friendly against West Ham United at CenturyLink Field.
Ockford, a 24-year-old center back who was Seattle’s second-round SuperDraft pick in 2014, was loaned to the New York Cosmos back in March, having also joined the NASL club two seasons ago. Ockford appeared in all 10 of New York’s matches in the spring portion of its season, starting eight of them. He is set to return to the Cosmos following the friendly.
