The South Bay has not been good to the Seattle Sounders. When facing the San Jose Earthquakes in Levi’s Stadium, Buck Shaw Stadium, or today’s host Avaya Stadium the Sounders are just 1-5-3 -7. But, some of that was because of the small pitch at Buck Shaw. Some of that is due to the home advantage in MLS. Some of that is just plain dumb luck.
If Seattle is to turn the tide in today’s match they will need to limit two Earthquakes (Anibal Godoy, Chris Wondolowski). Godoy should be handled by Roldan-Alonso, but Wondo is more difficult.
