There was a point when Real Salt Lake and Seattle Sounders met it was a key rivalry game between two upstart expansion sides with high quality and great ambitions. That time is back. Seattle is lead by Garth Lagerwey (formerly of RSL you may have heard) and Brian Schmetzer (Sounder for life) while Salt Lake is under Craig Waibel (a Husky) and Mike Petke (a Red Bull?). The two teams took different paths to get to recapture greatness, and now can be considered as possibilities to win the West in the playoffs.
