Maybe this won’t be such a quiet offseason, after all. The Seattle Sounders are off to an encouraging start, in any case, picking up midfielder Harry Shipp in a trade with the Montreal Impact. The move costs the Sounders an undisclosed amount of General Allocation Money.
Shipp was a Homegrown Player signing by the Chicago Fire in 2014 and promptly turned in an outstanding rookie campaign that saw him score seven goals with six assists. He followed that up with three goals and eight assists in 2015, before getting traded to the Impact for a combination of general and targeted allocation money.
