There were a lot of surprises in the year of 2020 but one thing managed to stay consistent, Nicolás Lodeiro being a key part of the Seattle Sounders’ offensive success. Probably the most important attacking piece in MLS since he joined the Sounders in 2016, Lodeiro has been nothing but a home run for Seattle — and that continued in 2020. He has always been appreciated by Sounders fans but it took until this past season for him to finally make the league MVP finalist list after posting 7 goals and 10 assists over 20 matches this season.
