The Seattle Sounders didn’t play the perfect game against Real Salt Lake, but they didn’t have to. They scored one of their many decent chances while containing a decent RSL side for 90 minutes, and though that may not impress those making power rankings, it is certainly a step in the right direction for a team that has been struggling.
Brad Evans took on the right back position, adding a veteran presence next to Gustav Svensson, who slid back into his secondary role of centerback. Joevin Jones returned to the lineup after his red card time-out, and Clint Dempsey and Osvaldo Alonso also were back for the game at CenturyLink Field.
