In their final tuneup before the 2017 season the Seattle Sounders take on the Columbus Crew SC. The previous three preseason matches lacked scoring by the starting XI, but that same XI saw few minutes with Clint Dempsey, Jordan Morris and Nicolas Lodeiro on the pitch at the same time. The defense is solid. Only the game with unsigned players starting against Atlanta’s first team was poor.
Saturday’s 1:30 PM game is different. If there is a training match to peak in it is the final one. That’s the game when most teams run their starters for 75+ minutes.
