KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Seattle Sounders fell 3-0 to Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday night at Children’s Mercy Park, but there was a memorable moment for one of the Sounders’ Homegrown rookies.
Forward Seyi Adekoya checked in for Jordan Morris in the 77th minute to make his Major League Soccer debut 11 games into his inaugural campaign.
“It’s super cool, it’s a moment I’ve been dreaming about for so long,” Adekoya said. “When I played youth in Seattle, I dreamed about wearing a Sounders jersey and getting on the field.
