Another Seattle Sounders reinforcement is likely on the way.
General Manager & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey addressed the presence of Spanish midfielder Víctor Rodríguez at Monday’s training session. The 28-year-old arrived in Seattle from Sporting Gijón in La Liga 2, Spain’s second division. Lagerwey said there is still some paperwork to be done before the move is finalized, but is “optimistic we can complete the last steps and be able to add him this week.”
Rodríguez had spent his entire nine-year career in his home country, compiling over 230 appearances for CF Badalona, UE Vilajuïga, Zaragoza, Elche CF, Getafe CF and Sporting Gijón.
