Seattle Sounders FC announced on Tuesday that the club is activating defender Román Torres from the Disabled List, and will immediately be moved to the club’s active roster. The Panamanian center back hasn’t appeared for the club since his ACL tear against the San Jose Earthquakes on September 12, 2015.
Torres had successful surgery on his left knee in Vail, Colorado on September 25, 2015, and had been recovering and rehabilitating since. He’s been back in full training for a couple weeks, but the Sounders stressed that they would not be rushing him back to action before he was ready and the medical staff had cleared him.
