Since their last game, results out of Seattle Sounders FC 2’s control went against them and they find themselves mathematically eliminated from the USL Playoffs. The writing has been on the wall for close to two months but as someone who watched both the ‘95 Mariners and the 16’ Seattle Sounders there was always a pinch at the back of my skull promising the impossible. But those hopes are no longer.
However, the playoffs are not the end all for S2, and the players still have a ton to play for. There shouldn’t be any drop off in these last three matches because the players are fighting for their soccer careers.
