SEATTLE – The Seattle Sounders will take one-goal aggregate cushion into the second leg of their Western Conference Championship matchup with the Colorado Rapids after riding goals from Jordan Morris and Nicolas Lodeiro to a 2-1 result in the first leg at CenturyLink Field on Tuesday.
Rapids forward Kevin Doyle scored the game’s opening goal for the visitors, with Morris bagging an equalizing tally in the 19th minute for the Sounders, the first-career playoff goal for the rookie forward. Lodeiro added a second on a 61st-minute penalty kick to give the Sounders the 2-1 advantage in front of 44,274 fans.
