This Saturday, August 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT, the Seattle community is invited to celebrate the opening of the new Yesler Terrace Park, a much-anticipated outdoor gathering place featuring an expansive plaza for community events, smaller-scale spaces for assembly and play, a basketball court and a soccer field that was developed in partnership with Sounders FC and its charitable arm, RAVE Foundation.
The celebration event features music, art and food trucks, with an official dedication ceremony at noon. Speakers, including Sounders FC Owner Adrian Hanauer, will discuss the development of Yesler Terrace Park and its community partnerships.
