TUKWILA, Wash. – The Seattle Sounders announced Tuesday that the academy’s Director of Coaching Chris Little would be taking the reins of Sounders FC 2 in 2019. John Hutchinson, who had been with the club for two seasons, returned to his native Australia to take an assistant coaching job with A-League expansion side Western Melbourne.
Little was most recently the head coach of the Sounders U17 side that won the USSDA national championship last year. With the signing of Josh Atencio on Tuesday, there are now seven players from Little’s championship team signed to USL contracts.
