This international break was shaping up to be a busy one for the Seattle Sounders, with a record nine players called up to their respective national teams. In the end, though, it wasn’t all that.
Only Joevin Jones (Trinidad & Tobago) started in two games, while Oniel Fisher (Jamaica), Roman Torres (Panama) Clint Dempsey (United States) and Jordan Morris (USA) were the only others to even start one. Cristian Roldan (USA), Nouhou (Cameroon) and Nicolas Lodeiro (Uruguay) all failed to play. Gustav Svensson (Sweden) was limited to a single appearance off the bench.
