Roman Torres will be sticking around for a bit longer. The Seattle Sounders center back announced on Twitter that he signed an extension and seemed very happy about it.
This seems to confirm a report by our very own Niko Moreno over the weekend saying essentially the same thing. There has not yet been an official announcement from the Sounders, but there’s no reason to doubt any of this.
Torres got off to a slow start last year and there were even rumors that he might be looking to make a move back to Colombia, but a strong showing in the second half seems to have overcome any concerns the Sounders had about committing to the soon-to-be 32-year-old.
