After a lightning storm delayed the match for more than two hours, Seattle was unable to Let it Reign against the league-leading North Carolina Courage — falling 2-0 on the road in a tough match that had the Reign chasing for much of the game.
The result puts Seattle Reign FC’s road record this season at 1-3-2, and all three losses have been shutouts.
Both teams came out a bit stiff at the start, likely due to the long wait in the locker room. But for the first quarter of the match, Seattle was moving the ball well.
