Nicolas Lodeiro has only been playing for the Seattle Sounders for a few months. But he already appears to have made a connection to fans, even going as far as jumping the ad boards and embracing them after scoring his second goal in Sunday’s 3-0 win over FC Dallas.
Unlike his “shoe-phone” celebration, this was likely a first for Lodeiro, who spent most of his career playing in South America where fans are either much farther away from the field or behind high fences.
“The fans deserve this,” Lodeiro told Sounder at Heart through a translator.
