Major League Soccer has nominated Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei for Week 28 Save of the Week for his impressive save at FC Dallas on Saturday.
Nearing the end of the first half in the 42nd minute, FC Dallas midfielder Kellyn Acosta took a shot from just outside the top of the box and Frei dove to push it wide.
Frei has already won Save of the Week twice this season: in Week 6 for a stop on the San Jose Earthquakes’ Marcos Ureña and again in Week 10 for a stop on Toronto FC’s Jozy Altidore.
