Major League Soccer has named Seattle Sounders defender Chad Marshall to its Week 13 Team of the Week for his efforts in a 1-0 home win over the rival Portland Timbers last Saturday.
Marshall led a Sounders back line that shut down a formidable Timbers attack and led Seattle to its second straight clean sheet. He had five clearances, two interceptions and two blocks.
Additionally, Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan earned a spot on the Week 13 bench. He scored the game-winner against Portland while putting in yeoman’s work on the defensive side of the ball.
