Reign FC midfielder Megan Rapinoe was called into the USWNT roster for their September friendlies against Thailand and Netherlands.
She should still be available for selection for Reign's must-win match Sunday against the Washington Spirit (7 PM PST kickoff). Reign FC can still make the NWSL Playoffs this year if they Sunday's match and the regular season finale at Houston AND either Western New York Flash or Chicago Red Stars lose their final two matches.
How much time Rapinoe gets on the field is anyone's guess as she is still working on getting back to full match fitness, but for sure many eyes will be on her if she will continue kneel during the national anthem in support of NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick that has made headlines since last Sunday at Chicago.
