TACOMA, WASH. – Tacoma Defiance (8-19-7, 31 points) on Saturday closed the 2019 campaign with a 3-1 victory over Austin Bold FC (13-12-9, 48 points). Tacoma finished the season with a five-game unbeaten streak and a two-game home winning stretch. Marlon Vargas recorded a goal and an assist for Tacoma, while Azriel Gonzalez and Jesse Daley each tallied a marker for the hosts.
Tacoma got on the board first when Handwalla Bwana sent a pass from outside the area into Gonzalez near the six-yard box, who took one touch with his right foot and beat the Austin goalkeeper.
